Bengal cruised to their fifth-straight win and consolidated their position at the top of Group C after opener Abhimanyu Easwaran struck 127 runs and their bowlers combined to dismiss Mumbai for 134 to complete a 96-run victory at Chepauk.

Easwaran – who struck his third List A century – held up one end of Bengal’s innings for 47.5 overs as wickets kept tumbling around him. Wickets from Shardul Thakur (4 for 47) at the top and Abhishek Nayar (3 for 35) towards the end meant Bengal were bowled out for 230. But Easwaran took control of the middle overs, stitching partnerships of 63 runs with Anustup Majumdar (25) and 77 with Aamir Gani (25) before he was bowled by Thakur’s pace, to set Mumbai a target of 231.

After Prithvi Shaw fell in the second over of Mumbai’s innings, a double strike from Ashok Dinda quickly saw them in trouble at 10 for 3. Mumbai were further troubled by Sayan Ghosh (3 for 48) and Pragyan Ojha (3 for 28) as they lost seven wickets by the time Mumbai’s total reached 100. Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 34 and while Siddhesh Lad (23) and Aditya Tare (20) got starts, Mumbai’s chase never looked on, as they folded for 134 in the 37th over.

Andhra suffered a batting collapse to fold for 106 as Gujarat defeated them by 182 runs in Chennai. Parthiv Patel hit 104 runs while a useful contribution of 53 off 39 balls by the unbeaten Rohit Dahiya propped Gujarat to 288 for 7 in their 50 overs before Jasprit Bumrah (4 for 29) and Rujul Bhatt (3 for 21) strangled Andhra’s batsmen to dismiss them inside 32 overs.

In their chase of 289, Andhra were rocked by wickets at the top from Bumrah and Ishwar Chaudhary (2 for 22). Dwaraka Ravi Teja came in at 39 for 5 to play a lone hand of 44 (3×4 2×6) but constant wickets from Bumrah and Bhatt meant all Andhra could post was 106 in their chase. Opener Prasanth Kumar (10) was the only other Andhra batsman to reach double digits.

Gujarat reached 288 despite losing opener Priyank Panchal early. His partner Parthiv added 71 runs for the second wicket with Samit Gohel (27) and another 71 with Bhargav Merai (36) to resurrect Gujarat’s innings. After Parthiv fell for 104 – with Gujarat at 200 for 5 in the 40th over – Dahiya’s blitz of three fours and three sixes along with Jesal Karia’s big hitting took Gujarat to a strong finish. Bandaru Ayyappa took three wickets despite conceding 72 runs off his ten overs.

Madhya Pradesh took only 38.1 overs to chase down Goa’s target of 291 to complete a seven-wicket win in Chennai after Naman Ojha struck an unbeaten 105 off 87 deliveries in their chase. Ojha was supported by Rajat Patidar (64 off 53 balls) and Harpreet Singh (83 off 60 balls) as MP completed their chase at a run rate of 7.70.

A 92-run opening stand between Ojha and Patidar gave Gujarat a strong start to their chase but it was his partnership with Harpreet that took the game away from Goa. The duo added 116 runs in 91 balls before a 61-run unbeaten stand between Ojha and Venkatesh Iyer (24 off 11) steered MP to victory. Ojha struck six sixes and six fours en route to his eighth List A century.

Goa did well to reach 290 after a poor start that saw them struggling at 23 for 2. The captain Sagun Kamat (63 off 75 balls) and Suyash Prabhudessai (52 off 47 balls) hit useful half centuries coming in at No.3 and 5 but it was Snehal Kauthankar’s 110-ball 94 that led Goa’s batting. Playing his fourth List A game, Kauthankar hit his career- best score, but a string of late wickets from Ankit Kushwah (5-66) restricted Goa to 290 for 8 in their 50 overs.
